Beyond The White
05:57
|
|||
White roses guarded her home
Inside the wall, nowhere to roam
Outside she wished to go
Outside she didn’t know
Closed circuit camera eye
Always on, parental spy
Voice calls out to her window
From outside the wall in the meadow
“Break beyond the white
Break the wall tonight
There’s so much out here to see
Break beyond the white
Come and see the light
Of the fireflies with me”

Buried Talbot Gels
04:16
|
|||
You
Come waltzing in
Slow and soft
You start to spin
Around the room
To some old
Romantic Russian tune
Dammed up river flows
Fills the drying wells
Eroding dirt to show
Buried Talbot gels
Plucked
Melodies
Gently kiss
Ears so bittersweet
Throughout the hall
As the scarlet
Curtain starts to fall
Dammed up river flows
Fills the drying wells
Eroding dirt to show
Buried Talbot gels

Blue Fades Into Red
08:28
|
|||
Can’t let them see
My true hue
Lock me up
Far from their view
Hide me away
Away from their eyes
Make me up
Put me in disguise
Foghorns squeal
Dogs start to run
Plumes of gray
Swallow the sun
Lightning cracks
Tempest blows
As the river
Overflows
Storm clouds come rolling in
We enter the haze once again
Tall buildings shake to the core
Voices are smothered in the thunder’s roar
Broken poles occupy
The over flooded highway layby
As the sky sobs poison lead
Blue will fade into red

Up In Flames
05:54
|
|||
Blue frames flicker down the hall
TV’s on, a man is sprawled
Out on the couch
As the bottle calls out
To lay down your head
Sleep will come either way
Couch or bed, night or day
But he can’t bear
What’s up the stairs
It fills him with dread
A bed imprint
A room for dust and lint
Locked away
The phantom stays
Finds a crack
Now it’s time to take him back
He opens the door
To whats not home anymore
Red flames dance in his mind
The brain is cruel, a dream is unkind
Alarms sound
She’s nowhere to be found
Ash falls like snow
Smoke blocks out the stars and the moon
Only one thing can be presumed
Cloud your mind
Leave this behind
Man, its time you go
Tears flow down
A new hole in the ground
Drive home
To nights alone
A silent house
Once held a man and spouse
He opens the door
To what’s not home anymore
Board it up
Lock it shut
Get it out
Out he shouts
Out of his head
The roaring flames
Sergeant James
Screams of pain
Still the same
Thoughts burn in red
A bed imprint
A room for dust and lint
Locked away
For all of his days
Remove and repress
Emotional distress
He closes the door
To what’s not home anymore

Seven
03:58
|
|||
Cold, frozen dark
Frost covers the tree bark
Ice sheet laid across the pond
Cracking as you stand on it
Giving way to danger
Stomach of a stranger
Rigor mortis setting in
Needles entering skin
Swim upwards, fall back down
Freeze up, prepare to drown
Wine stained glass windowpane
Struggling, all in vain
Grab your neck
Hold your breath
Final meeting
With death
Writhe around for awhile
Underneath, frozen mile
Warm and numb, fall asleep
Your soul I will reap
Grab your neck
Hold your breath
Final meeting
With death

Haunted Wind
08:50
|
|||
Soft white moonbeams
And lines of streetlight suns
Shine down upon
A hundred thousand rows
Of cold cobblestones
Lightly dusted with
Confectioners’ snow
As haunted wind blows
Down in the alley
Up in the sky
Souls of those
Who’ve already died
Fly past the widowed
Count their regrets
Whisper cries
Of “Never Forget”
The gate gently creaks
As phantoms pass on through
Down to the yard
A sea of granite skulls
Break through the crest
Of crashing waves of white
The stars won’t be bright
When haunted wind blows
Down in the alley
Up in the sky
Souls of those
Who’ve already died
Fly past the widowed
Count their regrets
Whisper cries
Of “Never Forget”
“Remember how…?
Remember when…?
Won’t you just remember me?”
